RAFAEL LÓPEZ-RAMOS. Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, 1962. A visual artist and art critic. Graduated with a major in painting and drawing at the Academia San Alejandro, Havana, 1985. 4 years of Master studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte, Havana, 1987-1991. His art has been recently exhibited in Valoarte, Galería Nacional, Costa Rica, 2008; Café VIII: The Journeys of Cuban Artists, Temple University, Rome Campus, Italy, 2008; Miami: Metaphor City, West Art Gallery, Miami Dade College West Campus, 2008; Killing Time, Exit Art, N.Y., 2007. His current work focus on the car as an emblem and incarnation of the American dream and its impact on the environment. Lives and works in Miami.
